Digital Banking with RBS is easy - starting with the sign up. Apply today and you could be managing your money online just a few minutes from now.
What you'll need
If you've got an RBS account (and you're over 16) you can sign-up for online banking.
Before you sign up, you'll need your:
- Account number
- Sort code
- Debit card (if you have one)

Max call charge from a BT landline is 4p per minute. Calls from other networks may vary. Lines open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls may be recorded.
What happens when you sign-up?
We'll give you a Customer Number. You'll need this every time you use online banking, so make sure you make a note of it and keep it safe.
If you enter your Debit Card details when you sign up, you could receive instant access to your accounts, which means you can check up to the minute balances and transactions and transfer money between your RBS accounts.
You'll also need a Code, which we'll post to your home address within five to seven days. We send the Code by post to protect your security and you'll need this to access the full online banking service.
Business customer?
This sign up process is for all personal and business customers except Limited Liability Partnerships.
